Loughborough is the closest town to us and has some great heritage attractions including the Great Central Railway, Loughborough Bell foundry and Charnwood Museum.
Mountsorrel, Quorn, Rothley and Woodhouse Eaves are close by if you want to visit the GCR stations.
University of Loughborough is a fifteen-minute drive away. University of Nottingham Sutton Bonnington Campus about twenty-minute drive away.

Charnwood Forest
Charnwood Forest is a few miles to the west and provides opportunities for lovely woodland walks, pub lunches, Bradgate Park and Stoneywell National Trust property. More local attractions include Stonehurst Farm in Mountsorrel, Mountsorrel Heritage Railway, Sileby Marina and Boat Hire and Cossington Meadows Nature Reserve.

Nottinghamshire
Train services run from Sileby to Nottingham, there is also fantastic tram service from Clifton South which is about twenty-five-minute drive away. In the city Nottingham Castle including caves tour has recently reopened, there’s also the National Justice Museum and Nottingham Contemporary Gallery and Wollaton Hall.
In the county there’s plenty to see with Southwell Minster, Southwell Workhouse, Newark Civil War Museum, Newark Castle, Newstead Abbey, Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park, The National Holocaust Museum and National Water Sport Centre to name a few.
